The Joys in Life are often Hidden in the Simplest Things

If you’re searching for the pleasures in life they may be hidden right in your reach. Whether or not you notice is the question. We can easily wake up in the morning and go about the day as usual and miss the pleasures and joys of daily life.

Have you considered taking time to help those in need?

This is one of the many ways we find joy in life.

The most fulfilling gesture we can ever do is assist those in need.

“Do not merely look out for your own personal interest, but also the interest of others.” (Phil 2:4)

“Don’t forget to do good and to share what you have with those in need, for such sacrifices are pleasing to him” (Heb 13:16)

“Help each other with your troubles. When you do this, you truly obey the law of Christ.” (Gal 6:2)

Another way to notice and enjoy life hidden Joys is acknowledging God in the morning. If you begin your day with Christ, he will certainly help in finding the hidden gems he’s left for us to enjoy. As a matter of fact, there is a peace, joy, love and understanding of the day hidden in our time with God. I can assure you spending quality time with Jesus will give undeniable benefits for the day.

See, Joy has much to do with the hidden blessings found in the day:

1)  Create

2)  Trusting the Process

3)  Remain Connected to Jesus, sensitive to the unction of the Holy Spirit

4)  Rest…not moved by stuff, peace that surpasses all understanding

5)  Abilities revealed in how to handle situations

These are only some of the benefits of the day for those hidden treasures in the simplest things.

Yes, it is simple to talk with Jesus.

It’s easy to read his word,

It’s easy to praise him and worship him.

Start the conversation; begin playing the praise and worship music and sing along, set the atmosphere for His glory; open his word, find a simple version of the Bible and begin reading.

Jesus beckons us to come to him all who are heavy ladened, burdened, tempted, distracted, overwhelmed, or depressed.

“Come to me, all who are weary, and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28:30)

The Simplest (nothing complicated, whole, good, fulfilling, sound) things can be:

1)  Checking on your parents asking if they need anything

2)  Carrying someone’s groceries to the car if they need assistance

3)  Holding the door open for the person behind you

4)  Cutting or helping someone with their lawn

5)  Calling someone you know who is sick to offer prayer, and any assistance

6)  Giving money to the poor, clothing, and food

7)  Speaking words of encouragement to someone you know is struggling

8)  Helping the elderly clean up their house, shopping for them, and taking them to their appointments

9)  Sending funds to family, or friends who you know is experiencing financial struggles

10) Taking time out of your day to speak with your children or others, checking in, and spending quality time

This is just a simple list of what we can do for others that won’t take much time or effort.

At the end of the day, our lives whether we admit it or not are connected to each other. We are also in some respect held accountable for those around us who we can assist. We can’t live a life that is exempt from others.

If you're feeling alone, lost, lonely, fearful, restless, depressed, anxiety, lack of connectedness, or sad, reach out to someone and fulfill a need. I can guarantee you’ll feel better, your spirit will be lifted and fulfillment will begin to flow in your life.
