Restart, Recharge, Renew & Regroup

Restart - Your Mission! Make the new commitment to complete what you have started. Jumpstart the engine and get moving! Some say the beginning of the year is not a good place to start. I agree, it’s a good place to keep it moving.

Keep the momentum!

“Go into all the world and make disciples baptizing them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

”Occupy, until I come” (Luke 19:13)

Recharge- Your Inner Battery! These days it is super easy to become complacent sitting and watching the world pass us by without jumping in and making an impact or a difference.

We say to ourselves:

  • Well, it looks like someone is already doing that

  • Well, it’s probably better if I sit this one out

  • Well, there seems to be enough people, they don’t need me

  • Well, I tried that over and over and nothing has happened

Get back in the game. Don’t quit, cave in or give up!

Simply, “Recharge” the battery and get to stepping.

For the vision is for an appointed time, But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay” (Habakkuk 2:3)

Renew- Your Thinking! Our thoughts dictate the direction of our life. If we think about something negative it has the potential to consume our thoughts the entire day. My son had a bully (actually he’s had several) his days at school began to play out in my head over and over. The thoughts of the possibility of him having to deal with this during school consumed me. I played out numerous scenarios in my head. The thoughts became like a tunnel that I couldn’t escape.

Wrong thinking begets; wrong actions; wrong reactions; wrong perceptions and wasted time!

“For as he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7)

Regroup- Your Plans! Whatever hasn’t been working adjust the plan, add or subtract. Begin to implement a new revised outline of action.

Nehemiah went to rebuild Jerusalem. He left his cushy job as a cup bearer to the king to help his home in ruins. While Nehemiah and his people were rebuilding the city and the wall of protection around it. They experienced plenty of obstacles which could’ve led to quitting. They had adversaries who tried to deter the plan who served as distractions.

However, they regrouped on every set back and stayed the course rerouting and adjusting their plan.

Think on these things:

  • What are your distractions? Better yet, who are your distractions?

  • What and who is deterring you from finishing?

  • How are you going to re-evaluate, revise and execute this new plan?

”Be strong and steadfast; have no fear or dread of them, for he will never fail you or forsake you.” ( Deuteronomy 31:6-8)

God-Speed in all you do...

We are glad you are here!
